Invest Canberra is the investment promotion function of the ACT Government, managed by the Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development Directorate (CMTEDD). It promotes the Australian Capital Territory as a destination for foreign direct investment and supports business expansion in the region. Its flagship offering is the ACT Investment Concierge Service, a free, personalised one-on-one advisory service that guides potential investors through every stage of the investment journey. Priority sectors include cyber security and quantum, defence, space, agri-technology, digital technology, education and research, tourism, and climate action. Canberra hosts the Department of Defence, key national security and intelligence agencies, and the highest density of cyber prime contractors and security-cleared workers per capita in Australia. Invest Canberra connects international entrants with grants, government decision-makers, networking opportunities and local industry partners.
