Bilateral business council established in 1989 to promote and facilitate trade, commerce and investment between Australia and Latin American countries through networking, advocacy and market intelligence.
About
The Australia-Latin America Business Council (ALABC) is a member-based bilateral organisation that promotes, encourages and facilitates commerce, trade and investment between Australia and the countries of Latin America. Established in 1989, ALABC has spent more than three decades helping Australian companies build market access and connections across the region while supporting Latin American businesses engaging with Australia. Its membership spans leading corporates and individuals in resources, mining services and technology, education, agriculture, manufacturing, transport and professional services. The council delivers value through networking events, ambassadorial dinners, boardroom luncheons, trade missions, country reports, the LATAM News publication and an annual Business Excellence Awards program. ALABC also operates a Soft Landing Platform to help businesses establish a foothold across the Pacific. It works with federal and state governments and bilateral business councils to advocate on policy issues that strengthen the Australia-Latin America commercial relationship.
Why Work With Us
ALABC offers international entrants direct access to senior Australian and Latin American decision-makers, ambassadors and patron corporates such as BHP, MMG and Wesfarmers, plus a soft landing platform and curated market intelligence to accelerate cross-Pacific market entry.
