AKBC is Australia's only independent national body fostering bilateral trade and investment with South Korea. Member-based and led by senior industry/government leaders, it convenes networking, advocacy and trade-mission activity.

    About

The Australia-Korea Business Council (AKBC) is Australia's only independent national body focused on fostering economic opportunities between Australia and South Korea. Established in 1978, AKBC works alongside its Korean counterpart (KABC) to strengthen the bilateral economic relationship through dialogue, cooperation and cultural understanding. The Council is a member-based organisation drawing senior executives from companies with a commercial interest in Korea, governed by a Board of industry and government leaders chaired by the Hon. Martin Ferguson AM. AKBC supports two-way market access by facilitating networking events, joint annual meetings with KABC, trade missions and business delegations. It also delivers educational programs such as 'Mastering the Korean Business Landscape', publishes member briefings, and convenes industry-focused forums (e.g. the Australia-Korea New Energy Forum). Priority sectors of engagement include critical minerals, energy, education, defence, space, financial services and food/agriculture. The Council advocates for favourable bilateral trade policy and helps businesses ranging from ASX-listed corporates to SMEs navigate market entry and growth opportunities in Korea.

    Why Work With Us
