The American Chamber of Commerce in New Zealand Inc (AmCham NZ) is a not-for-profit bilateral business organisation founded in 1964 to promote two-way trade, investment, tourism and education links between the United States and New Zealand. It is affiliated with the US Chamber of Commerce and is part of the global network of more than 116 AmChams operating in 103 countries. AmCham NZ's membership spans US Fortune 500 companies, leading New Zealand corporates and SMEs, with combined revenues exceeding USD 50 billion and over 100,000 employees. The chamber delivers a year-round programme of networking events, business briefings, committee activity (Healthcare, Diversity, NextGen, Women's Chapter), and an annual awards programme that recognises excellence in trans-Pacific business. Members receive access to information on legislation affecting international trade, statistical and business data resources, government relations support, and warm referrals into both markets. AmCham NZ also helps US companies enter the New Zealand market and supports New Zealand companies expanding into the United States.
